The back story

About Arriving at Grantley Adams airport (BGI): transfers, fast track and private jets

Most visitors arrive at Grantley Adams International Airport in Christ Church. A little planning makes the first hour of your holiday much easier.

Before you fly

Complete the online immigration and customs form at travelform.gov.bb before you travel; it can be filled in up to 72 hours ahead.

On arrival

Many hotels arrange transfers, and some include them: Sandy Lane, for example, includes a return transfer by executive car in every rate. Otherwise, book a transfer service or take a taxi.

Fast-tracked through a dedicated immigration line, then whisked away.

VIP fast track

Five Star Fast Track meets you just before the arrivals hall and escorts you through a dedicated immigration line, to baggage claim and through a dedicated customs line to your transport, and can book the VIP departure lounge for your flight home.

Private jets

IAM Jet Centre, serving business aviation since 1989, runs a private terminal at Grantley Adams, the first premium FBO of its kind in the southern Caribbean, with flight handling, fuel and VIP services. Sandy Lane notes that several jet terminals at the airport also offer arrival services to commercial passengers; ask your hotel concierge.

Onward to the Grenadines

Barbados is the gateway to the Grenadines. SVG Air flies daily to St. Vincent, Bequia, Canouan, Union Island, Grenada and Carriacou, and Air Adelphi, the Mustique Company’s own airline, flies to Mustique in about 50 minutes. See our island-hopping guide.
