About Sandy Lane
Sandy Lane opened in 1961 on the site of an old sugar plantation, where hundreds of ancient mahogany trees ran down to the beach, and was rebuilt from the ground up before reopening on St Patrick’s Day 2001 in the same neo-Palladian style, coral-stone lobby and all. Today it has 113 rooms, suites and penthouses and a secluded five-bedroom villa, five restaurants and seven bars, the 47,000 sq ft Spa at Sandy Lane, 45 holes of golf including Tom Fazio’s Green Monkey, and the Treehouse Club for children. Read our in-depth guide for the history, the dining rules for non-residents and how golf access works.
