Carlisle Bay
The city beach with shipwrecks

About Carlisle Bay
Carlisle Bay curves south from Bridgetown to the Hilton peninsula, a broad sweep of white sand and calm, clear water that is one of the island’s favourite beaches. Its protected marine park holds six wrecks between 10 and 52 ft deep, the oldest from the First World War, according to West Side Scuba, so it is the stop for the catamaran turtle-and-wreck snorkels, and beach clubs such as Copacabana, The Boatyard and Harbour Lights line the sand.
